Mixtape Zine Submissions

For Small Press Day 2018, I'm compiling a collaborative zine called 'I Made You a Mixtape' and submissions are now open to every comic creator, illustrator, writer... everyone!

Working in a music shop has shown me that people still love owning a physical items from their favourite bands and artists, and a mixtape used to be an amazing way of sharing thoughts, feelings and emotions. I wanted to achieve the same thing with this zine.

If you want to get involved, all you have to do is create a piece of work related to a song/band/artist that you love or inspires you - illustrations, photography, comics or stories of a gig you went to are just a few examples of what you can submit.

Profits will cover printing costs, providing artists with a copy of the zine and covering shipping. Any additional profits will be donated to a charity (TBC- considered cause at the moment is mental health)

How to submit work

Email all work to siobhan.alcaide@gmail.com with the subject title "MIXTAPE SUBMISSION"

Include the following -

YOUR Name/Artist Name (which ever you prefer to use)

Website/Social media link

The song and artist you have based your work on

Why you picked it (OPTIONAL)

Address (for posting)

TECHNICAL STUFF

A5 Portrait

Black & White

300dpi

JPEG or flattened TIFF/PSD file

4 pages MAX (if you would like to submit more, let me know!)

3mm page bleed
